In my other recent post, I have already mentioned that in a few weeks I will be returning to my beautiful hometown. It was a good 6 years living out of the country, I was able to support the needs of my son and I was able to travel to few countries as well.
Let me introduce you my beloved province, Batangas. It is actually located in the northern part of the Philippines. It is considered as one of the top tourist destination near Metro Manila. I am here now to share with you, some of the beautiful places in my hometown.
Fortune Island
Fortune Island is one of the best resort in Batangas. It used to be a private own island. Since its turned over it was opened for public viewing by the new owner Jose Antonio Leviste, a former governor of Batangas. It is located at Nasugbu, Batangas.
Camp Netanya Resort and Spa
It is like a little Santorini in Batangas, it is located in Anilao. If you love diving or snorkeling, you will find a this place a perfect place for it. It is a great haven for people who wants to relax and be faraway from the busy and noisy city life. It is 2 to 3 hours drive from Metro Manila. The Farm at San Benito
If you want another perfect haven to have a very peaceful relaxation, this would be a great place. Its actual location is at 119 Barangay Tipakan Lipa City, Batangas. It is 42 miles from Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Some of the amenities they offer are swimming pool, a garden area where you can do your yoga or have a peaceful time alone with the beauty of nature and restaurant which offers vegan foods. Marian Orchard
It is a place of solemnity. It is actually a place where you can reflect or just simply pray. It is almost 2 hours drive from Metro Manila. It is situated at Malabanan Balete, Batangas. A must try if you want to cleanse your soul and remove all the negativity in your mind and body. You can check more about this place on their website.
Fantasy World
There is nothing much to do here in this place but I included it to my place because despite the unfinished construction a lot of people still visits it. The rides are even not operational. It is actually the beauty and mystery of this place. You would even fall in love with the view that this place has to offer. It is open from 8 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon. I bet you this place is instagram-worthy. It is situated at Diokno Highway Lemery, Batangas.
Taal Volcano
Of course, I am not going to miss this beautiful volcano, which is considered as the second active volcano in the Philippines. It is a 2 hours drive from Metro Manila. It is one of the most visited tourist spot in the country. They are a lot of travel agency that offers online a hiking itinerary for this place. It will take 20 minutes boat ride to reach the crater. Once you reach the place, someone will be there to guide you but of course it is not free. You need to pay 500 PHP or you have an option to just explore the place on your own. If you are also not a fan of hiking, you can also rent a pony where you can ride on it while exploring the place. It has a really nice top view so better try it.
Parrot's Beak
If you are a type of person who loves adventure and a thrill-seeker, you should definitely try this place. It is situated at the border of Nasugbu, Batangas and Cavite. It is a great spot for hikers plus they will enjoy and experience here a bit of rock climbing.
Malabrigo Point Lighthouse
It is situated in Barangay Malabrigo Lobo, Batangas. It is also known as Faro De Punta Malabrigo. I consider it as one of the hidden paradise of Batangas. It is a bit eerie inside some of the locals will tell you stories that many people died there during the Japanese era. You will also enjoy the Malabrigo beach near the lighthouse.
Milea Orchard and Bee Farm
It is actually a small farm which they are focusing more on bee producing honey. This place is open for visitors everyday. It is situated in Kurba Road, Balagtasin, San Jose, Batangas. You will be in awe on how they explain everything about the life cycle of the bees and how important is agriculture in the Philippines. After listening to the guide, you won't be scared at all standing next to a beehive.
It is definitely one place in Batangas, you do not want to miss.
Casita Ysabel
It is situated in San Teodoro, Mabini, Batangas. It is also consider one of the favourite diving spot in Batangas. It offers a fantastic view and the aesthetic of the place is great. Batangas offers a lot of beautiful places like beaches, religious sites and trekking mountains. For me, this is just my list of beautiful places in my hometown. We offer various of tourist spots that you will definitely love and enjoy. It is not only the place but the warmth of the Batanguenos who will welcome you with such humility and kindness.
